MAIN HEADING QUICK GENIUS SERIES HORIZONTAL WINDLASS

The Free-Fall technology applied to the Genius windlass allows free running of chain through the gypsy when lowering the anchor; simply by depressing the down control button the windlass will release its clutch and the gypsy will free wheel. To stop the Free-Fall depress the up control button on the windlass; the clutch will engage stopping the gypsy and allowing retrieval of the chain. The Free-Fall function can be bypassed to facilitate power controlled release.

QUICK GP2 FREE-FALL KIT

This Free-Fall kit is easy to retrofit to the GP2 Quick windlass models and can be used with the existing gypsy. It allows the anchor chain to run freely through the gypsy by depressing the windlass ‘Down’ button. This Free-Fall system acts as a clutch, releasing the gypsy allowing it to free wheel.
