SERIES 45 & 57 RATCHET BLOCKS These blocks have great gripping power under load, whilst still allowing the rope to be released freely when required. They are ideal for allowing the crew to hand hold main, jib and spinnaker sheets and ease sail safety. A 'Planar' switch system allows easily operated on/off selection of ratchet with cold, wet or gloved hands, even under load. Breaking Load – indicates ultimate loads in which the item can be expected to fail. It is recommended that loads do not exceed 50% of the breaking load of any item. Max Working Load – the maximum static and/or dynamic load at which the product will still function without excessive distortion.
