Available in brass or Corrosion Resistant (CR) DZR brass, these anti-siphon loops used in conjunction with the siphon break valve can be installed to prevent the possibility of water siphoning back if the outlet/inlet is below the waterline. Applications include engine cooling water inlets, exhaust cooling water outlets toilet flush inlet and waste outlets, or bilge pump outlets. When in operation a pump should be positioned so it pushes the siphon break closed allowing water to flow as required. Once the pump has stopped, the remaining water in the pipework will fall opening the air valve drawing air into the siphon break valve to prevent a siphoning effect. The anti-syphon loop must always be positioned above the waterline. Take extra care to consider sailing vessels when under sail as this may affect the position of the anti-syphon loop.
