SEA-FIRE ORDER GUIDE Measure the volume of the machine enclosure: Calculate W x H x L = Volume Only deduct permanently sealed bulk volume items such as fuel and water tanks. Machinery e.g. engines, generators, air conditioning equipment and electrical cabinets should be included in the total volume. Contact our sales team with the volume of the machine enclosure to identify the size of extinguisher you need. We may choose the next extinguisher size up if the capacity is close to the volume you need to protect. Only one extinguisher should be fitted in an enclosure. Check suitable mounting location and choose Auto only, Auto/Manual or Manual Only operation (manual only operation commonly used on commercial vessels). The delivery head of the extinguisher should be positioned as high as possible and not closely obstructed by machinery, cabinets or enclosures. All models up to NFD825 and all NFG models can be mounted vertically and horizontally. Models NFD850 and upwards can only be mounted vertically. Auto/Manual & Manual Operation Cable. Choose a suitable location for the extinguisher manual cable release control and measure the cable run to the planned location of the extinguisher. The cable bracket on the extinguisher allows the cable to be connected to either side for optimum cable route. Optional monitoring and automatic shut down and restart systems. A shut down and restart system can be used to automatically shut down engines and ventilation systems to allow the Novec 1230™ extinguishant gas to fully flood the protected enclosure and to retain the correct extinguishing concentration. A shut down system must be installed for diesel engine installations.
