DOMETIC FRIDGE CABLE CONNECTION GUIDE The supply cable to the fridge should be the correct size to ensure there is not a voltage drop during start up.
DOMETIC FRIDGE INSTALLATION GUIDE Refrigerators need good air circulation to run efficiently and prevent heat build up around the condenser. The refrigerator cabinet is designed to allow cool air to enter at the bottom. Heat must be vented from the back of the cabinet either by a vent spanning the width of the condenser (Dia.1), or side vents at the top and bottom to provide air circulation behind the refrigerator (Dia. 2). Power Consumption Formula: Watts ÷ voltage = amps x running time = Ah power consumption e.g. 45W divided by 12V = 3.75A. Run time = 55% at 32ºC ambient with 50mm PU insulation Therefore 55% of 3.75A = 2.06 Ah average power consumption.

CABLE GUIDE CHART
The distance relates to the cable run from the source to the fridge. Poor connections on terminals, switches and fuse holders can also result in voltage drops.

For safety reasons Dometic compressor fridges are protected against reverse polarity. To protect the battery, the refrigerator switches off automatically if the voltage is insufficient. Cut-off voltage: 10.4V (12V), 22.8V (24V). Cut-in Voltage: 11.7V (12V), 24.2V (24V).
