WHY CHOOSE A MASTERVOLT CHARGER?
Choosing the right battery charger to suit the application and environment is paramount to ensure you get the best from your batteries and they are charged and maintained correctly. Mastervolt offer a great range of battery chargers designed with clever features and technology to suit the battery charging requirements you have to ensure your batteries are charged efficiently and safely.
EASYCHARGE & EASYCHARGE PORTABLE • Small compact, rugged and waterproof charging, the EasyCharge range includes portable versions rated to IP65 and fixed versions rated to IP68 protection ratings. • Providing 3 stage charge characteristics, the EasyCharge range is ideal for personal water craft batteries such as jet skis and small power boat batteries. An ideal way to maintain a small wet lead acid, AGM or Gel battery when the boat is not in use. • These chargers handle 120/230V AC 50/60Hz mains power and have a number of built in safety features including reverse polarity protection, over voltage and temperature protection.
CHARGEMASTER BATTERY CHARGERS • Designed for leisure and semi-professional applications, the ChargeMaster range handle battery banks up to 250Ah for 12v and 120Ah for 24v systems. The 3 step+ charging method ensures safe and efficient battery charging and includes a battery temperature sensor to self adjust the charge output according to the battery temperature. • These chargers have an IP21/IP23 protection rating so need to be located in a ventilated compartment away from the elements. They also have up to 3 battery outputs allowing multiple battery banks to be charged from one charger. • ChargeMaster battery chargers can be installed simple as a stand alone charger or integrated into a MasterBus network to function with an on-board system. These charges will work globally and handle 110/230V AC at 50/60Hz. • They can be easily configured to charge wet lead acid, AGM, Gel and Lithium Ion battery technologies and can also be used to provide a DC power supply. ChargeMaster 12/10 and 24/6 only have one battery output, ChargeMaster 12/15 has two battery outputs. These models cannot be used as a DC power supply. CHARGEMASTER PLUS BATTERY CHARGERS • These chargers have the same basic characteristics as the ChargeMaster range but have many additional features and benefits. • The built in VSR (voltage sensing relay) allows the ChargeMaster Plus to sense when the engine alternator is charging and allows all three connected battery banks to be charged whilst the engine is running. This reduces complex wiring and equipment needed to have a separate alternator split charging system. • Most chargers will not respond to a fully depleted battery bank, the ChargeMaster Plus is equipped with a battery revival mode should you ever experience this situation. • The ChargeMaster Plus can be fitted as a stand alone battery charger or integrated into and on board network such as MasterBus, Czone, NMEA, and CANOpen. These charges will work globally and handle 110/230V AC at 50/60Hz. MASS BATTERY CHARGERS • Mass battery chargers are designed for commercial and semi-professional applications and are designed to be connected to one main battery bank with a second low amperage maintenance charge output for a second battery e.g. generator starter battery. • These chargers use a safe 3 step + charging method are rated to handle 24V DC battery banks up to 1000Ah or 48V DC battery banks up to 500Ah. • ChargeMaster battery chargers can be installed simple as a stand alone charger or integrated into a MasterBus network to function with an on-board system. • They can be easily configured to charge wet lead acid, AGM, Gel and Lithium Ion battery technologies and can also be used to provide a dc power supply. Battery Charger Capacity: Generally a battery charger should be a minimum of 10% of the amp hour capacity of the battery bank it is supporting. The maximum charge output should take into consideration the type of battery technology being charged.
