Craftmaster - Wood & Varnish Treatments

Craftmaster Clear Varnish 1L

A magnificent Alkyd varnish, that will not yellow as it contains no polyurethane. Clear and flexible with a very high build. 98% UV reflective (more than any comparable product) means near total protection of the underlying coat. Coverage: 12 square metres or 120 square feet per litre (approx) Please Note: Varnish must be ‘maintained’. This means touching in any scratches or chips at the earliest opportunity. Vehicles and Boats living outside should be recoated every 2-3 years to maintain the finish - once it starts to appear in need of a recoat it is too late to save and must be removed. For this reason we do not particularly recommend Varnish for large areas on Narrowboats unless the owner is prepared to keep up with the maintenance or for road going vehicles in danger of stone chips. Sealex ‘B’ Bitumastic - 5L

Water Tank Blacking 1 Litre

A heavy duty gelled thixotropic bitumen solution for use as a heavy-duty protective coating for iron, steel, concrete and cement asbestos substrates. Typical uses: As an underwater anti corrosive coating for narrow boats, Protection of immersed iron and steel. Piles or buried steelwork, As a waterproofing product for underbodies of vehicle. As an anti corrosive coating in difficult to reach areas, e.g. box section. Pipework externals. AC-021

A single pack bitumen coating, for the recoating of water tanks which are currently coated with bitumen, on canal boats and leisure craft or elsewhere. Complies to BS3416 (1991) Type 1, Class A. Legislation has resulted in the withdrawal of the Water Research Council’s approval of bitumen for use in water tanks and equipment for all public services on dry land. This means that bituminous solutions are no longer approved by the WRC, but their continuing use on

existing bituminised tanks is permitted under BS3416 on boats. If your boat has a water tank already coated with bitumen, you can use Water Tank Coating to maintain it. New water tanks must use two pack bitumen-free coatings with WRAS/BS6920 approval, such as Epicol SF. For the internal coating of water tanks already coated with bitumen. PA-201

Black Jack Bitumen Paint

Solvent based full bodied bitumen paint. When dry, the product forms an odourless black film suitable for use in the following applications: Metal protection: corrugated iron sheets, fire escapes, stairways, ladders, storage tanks, gutters, downpipes, fences, railings, gates, etc. Also suitable for over coating wood and felt.

Rylard Rytex 5 Litre

A cost effective, high performance bodied bitumen paint for the anticorrosive protection of the underwater hulls of canal boats. Single pack: blacking. Can be used to maintain coal tar epoxy coatings which are no longer available. Good abrasion resistance, flexibility and weather resistance. Easier application properties and longer life compared to normal bitumen paints. Gives protection against moisture ingress, in both fresh and saline water. Specially formulated for canal boats. PA-200 Rylard Raddle A high quality semi-gloss alkyd enamel for the topside painting of canal boats where reduced reflectivity is required. Rylard Raddle offers an excellent reduction in reflection and glare on boat roofs and is also suitable where a dull, traditional heritage finish is required. Good oil and water resistance. For topsides and interiors of canal boats, yachts and leisure craft. Theoretical coverage 12.2m.
