In 2013 R1234yf air conditioning systems began to be introduced on vehicles sold in the UK and Ireland. From the 1 st January 2017 all new cars manufactured contain the ‘new’ refrigerant

R1234yf (new gas) has been the refrigerant of choice since 2017, with all new vehicles being manufactured using this gas. Warranty Packages

Package details: • Warranty begins from date of purchase of the machine and runs for number of years dependent on package purchased • The price includes annual service at the end of each complete year so 5 years = 4 services to be completed at approximately each 12 month period of a time we consider suitable. • Service include calibration of all scales, software updates, diagnostic checks – include leak checks and performance testing of individual parts • Calibration certificates are available upon request to meet with any audit requirements. Excluded from warranty/package: • All wear and tear items (Essentially external parts such as covers, wheels, hoses, couplers etc.) • Fair usage policy – if any evidence suggests a machine is damaged because of neglect or misuse then this will not be covered • Operator training and F-gas assessments • Any call outs in relation to operator errors will be chargeable (i.e. they have been selecting a wrong option) • Any additional servicing required before the annual due date due to heavy use will be subject to a further normal charge for service.

The Ecotechnics factory soon specialised in air conditioning service units for recovery, recycling and recharging of air conditioning systems in the automotive industry, achieving a leading global position in just a few years.

Solutions, trends and technological standards Sanitisation Complete, efficient and fast The recent Covid pandemic increased awareness and sensitivity towards the world around us, accelerating the introduction of sanitisation and disinfection procedures at workshops. The Saniflux program acts specifically in the ventilation ducts and the evaporator of a vehicles air conditioning system. Saniflux XS601.00 is a device with two different modes of use: connected to the Ecotechnics air conditioning station and operating simultaneously with the air conditioning service (patent no. EP2349755) or in a completely autonomous mode. Saniflux uses ultrasound technology to nebulise liquids and is specially designed to precisely direct the flow towards the air suction grid inside the passenger compartment. The treated vehicle can be promptly delivered back to the user with an Ecotechnics certificate of the completed personalised service which is downloadable online.

The Ecotechnics research and development team have recently developed and patented the possibility to supply “neutral” climate stations and decide the type of gas even at the last moment, thanks to the availability of different refrigerant kits. The packaging of the station actually provides the space for the insertion of both the R134a or HFO refrigerant activation kits.

Hybrid & EV Vehicles The integrated patented solution or aftermarket option

The “Observatory for electric mobility” of the European Commission confirms a growth trend of hybrid and electric cars of over 30% per year, that will result in more than 50% of vehicles in operation being electric in less than 20 years. These vehicles have the compressor driven by a high voltage electric motor. The specific oil must be insulating to ensure safety. The use of non-insulating oil is dangerous for the operator. To remove all traces of non-

insulating oil, the cleaning of service hoses and internal circuits is mandatory before recharging. The patented Ecotechnics system automatically carries out the washing of service hoses and internal ducts, thanks to the specific software and connectors integrated into the station. A closed-circuit washing cycle enables a high cleaning efficiency. In addition to the integrated system of the standard feature, an innovative aftermarket upgrade solution has been developed. Connectivity The dialogue between the workshop and the equipment The digital world offers endless opportunities to integrate new solutions into the “connected workshop”: WIFI connection as a standard or optional feature has been implemented in the latest Ecotechnics climate stations. Current features include real-time air conditioning service status display on smartphones, tablets or PCs, station data such as available oil and gas, and exportable archive of performed services. A “work in progress” that will gradually see the implementation of additional features.

"Saving" Benefit: Accuracy and efficiency The standard for recovery and filling control

In order to constantly monitor the performance of the climate stations, the company has developed internal product standards in order to monitor the parameters of Recovery Efficiency and Refrigerant Filling Accuracy. Periodic tests are always performed under the same conditions, thanks to technological development and improvement, they have been able to obtain Efficiency and Accuracy values that exceed the results required by universally accepted standards.

12 Volt Technology Safety and energy saving

The correct flow of the refrigerant or the oil and the control of pressures during the various phases of the air conditioning service are managed by the “manifold” through the opening and closing of valves at the proper time. While the processes are coordinated by the software, the force to open and close the valves is generated by the coils through a magnetic field. The new standard provides their power supply at 12V, a tension that is independent of the voltage applied in the country of distribution. Texa Intro

The KONFORT range benefits from new developments in materials, technologies and automated production procedures that resulted in TEXA gaining an ISO TS 16949 certification. All phases are subject to strict quality control, from component selection and development to machining, assembly, distribution, and after-sales service. After assembly, the KONFORT recharge stations enter TEXA’s testing department where the electrical system is tested, and the load cells and pressure transducers are calibrated. Functional testing is then performed to verify that all components and devices respond correctly and perform according to specifications. Rigorous testing eliminates the risk of defects in the hydraulic system and ensures that all parts are effectively sealed.

Production and quality certified. ISO TS 16949 system quality The final stage of testing takes place in a special sealed chamber and involves the injection of helium into the tank and the recharge circuit. Helium is used because its particularly small molecules are able to find even minute leaks.
