National and local governments are setting bold targets to lower emissions. To improve air quality, some authorities are introducing Clean Air Zones. Dependant on the age or type of vehicle, charges will apply when entering these Zones. This has seen a rapid increase in electric and hybrid drive vehicles being available. By 2030 new petrol and diesel vehicles will stop being sold in the UK. It’s predicted by then there will be over 10 million Hybrid and Electric cars on the UK roads. This of course means more of these vehicles are being presented to vehicle workshops for repair or servicing
