Stonechip repairs are currently difficult due to the fact that bodyshops, dealers, etc. have to use waterbase colour followed by a second application of a clearcoat. Mechanical drying is then required i.e. Infra-red heaters which have to be used to cure the clearcoat which has to be activated. Once this is cured you then have to de-nib and polish the area.
