EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) EGR in Petrol vehicles is a key element in reducing NOx formation from excessive combustion temperatures. Petrol engine EGR has just as much functionality as it’s diesel counterpart but more so in recent years with the introduction of such fuel systems as: GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) and Lean Burn enabled vehicles.
