Cabin Filtration

Air Conditioning

Air con is so much more than just basic re-gassing.

Checking customers cabin filters? If not, you should be. Cabin filters need changing annually, or at 12,000 miles, yet many motorists aren’t aware that their vehicle is fitted with a cabin filter. More importantly they remove virtually 100% of dust, pollen and gases before entering the passenger compartment, creating a pleasant and healthy atmosphere inside the car.

Do you know what to do... ■ When a car comes in with no refrigerant present in the system? ■ When it is evident there is a leak on the system and a component replacement is required?

Leak testing and performance tooling should be used at the initial stage of inspection helping save time and cost at a later date. Remember due diligence is vital – a vacuum leak check is not definitive. The last thing anyone wants is a car returning to the workshop with the same fault. At LKQ Euro Car Parts, we have the have the tools for you to get the job done.

Active Carbon Have the same function as pollen filters, as well as the ability to separate foul smells and harmful gases such as ozone, snog and exhaust gases.

Anti Bacteria In addition to the functions of the carbon filters, these filters neutralise allergens and bacteria.

Pollen Protect the vehicle occupants from contaminants such as pollen and fine dust and helping to protect the air conditioning system. The pollen filter filters out more than just pollen – it stops all kinds of debris, pollution and odours from entering the cabin and clogging up the heating ventilation and air-conditioning systems.
