This training module is for technicians who are starting their role as a tyre technician in a retail garage / fast fit environment.

The module deals with an introduction to car tyre basics including tyre functions, sidewall markings, construction and manufacture, tyre law and tyre / vehicle technology. The module also includes instruction and a practical assessment (where possible) on safe working on vehicles (jacking / wheel removal etc), fitting and repairing car tyres.

Who is it for: • Tyre technicians / apprentices who are either new to the tyre industry or who simply wish to refresh their tyre knowledge.
