Emergency First Aid, Motor Vehicle Workshop Safety and Mental Health Awareness 263779600 This course equips participants with essential first aid skills, knowledge of motor vehicle workshop hazards, and mental health awareness. Designed to build confidence and competence, it prepares attendees to respond effectively in emergencies while supporting workplace wellbeing.

Day One: Emergency First Aid at Work

Day Two: Workshop Hazards and Mental Health Awareness This specialised module addresses unique risks and emergency responses specific to motor vehicle workshop environments, particularly in relation to modern vehicle technology.

This foundational module covers essential first aid principles and practical skills required to respond to workplace medical emergencies. Participants will gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge to act with confidence. Course covers: • Roles and responsibilities of a first aider • Preventing cross-infection and using first aid supplies • Assessing situations and acting safely • Recovery position, CPR and defibrillator use • Managing choking, bleeding, fractures, seizures, shock, burns, anaphylaxis, fainting • Recording incidents correctly.

Course covers: • High-voltage systems in hybrid/EVs • Chemical and mineral oil hazards • COSHH emergency preparation • Defibrillator Use in Workshop Settings • Mental health awareness: recognising signs, reducing stigma, accessing support.

Delivery and Certification • Duration: 2 days, interactive sessions with theory, practice, and discussion • Assessment: CPR, AED, wound dressing demonstrations + short quiz • Certification: FAIB accredited, HSE recognised.
