4.4 Pallets

Must be robust enough for the goods to be fully protected between the supplier and Euro Car Parts Ltd distribution centre; receipt, handling and storage in racking within the Euro Car Parts Ltd distribution centre.

4.4.1 Presentation

• All pallets must be a minimum of Grade B (EPAL) stamped Euro pallets with dimensions of 1200mm x 800mm, with no damage or missing blocks/slats • Pallet height (including pallet) must not exceed 1.2m • Total pallet weight must not exceed 1000kgs • Product must be stacked within the pallet confines unless product dimensions are larger than the pallet (see example of nonstandard equipment details above) • Product safely fixed to the pallet (stretch wrapping is acceptable but must be applied to the pallet loads in a secure manner around the pallet base) • Plastic banding may be used to secure awkward, irregular or upright loads • Double stacking of pallets is only permitted if the load remains secure, products are suitable for double stacking, each pallet is stretch wrapped separately and the stack is then stretch wrapped together • If, as a result of double stacking, loads become unsafe or damage occurs to the product, Euro Car Parts Ltd will refuse the load. Please note that under no circumstance should you pyramid stack your loads.
