OPTIMAL Steering and Suspension

BUSHES

Designed to reduce vibrations and structure-borne noise, rubber-to-metal bushings play an important role in the steering and suspension set-up of modern vehicles. OPTIMAL’s bushes are manufactured to the highest quality requirements, using state-of-the-art machinery to provide maximum passenger comfort and optimum noise reduction.

TIE ROD AND TIE ROD ENDS

Tie rod ends are part of the steering system and connect the spindle on which your front wheel is mounted. OPTIMAL Tie rod ends have life-lubricated ball joints using a semi-synthetic grease to reduce stick-slip, minimise starting and running moments in addition to offering high corrosion protection.

CONTROL ARMS

OEM quality from cast steel and forged cast iron to sheet steel and aluminium lightweight materials, a control arm is the part that forms the link between the suspension of a car and the chassis. Attached with a single pivot, normally a rubber bushing, the control arm can adjust the position of the outboard end while sustaining the radial distance from the inboard mount. A control arm is one of the most mechanically critical parts of the suspension system, which means it is important to replace them when they become worn or broken. Often the reason a replacement is required is due to the ball joint or bushing being worn out, but it can be very difficult and expensive to replace these components separately.
