Things to look out for when a customer enquires about a Hydraulic Steering Rack Help customers extend the lifespan of their power steering products:

Explain to our customers – When fitting a new hydraulic steering rack the customer needs to completely flush out the old fluid before adding the new

Explain to our customers – Failure to flush and replace will lead to contaminated fluid damaging hydraulic seals in the new rack

Upsell opportunity Has the customer ordered new fluid with the rack, ask if they need any?

Failure to do so will result in system failure and a high return rates to your branch

ELECTRIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM

If a customer fails to do this the remanufactured product will fail, adding to the high return rates.

Customers need to remove any fault codes caused by the previously failed EPS product, which may be embedded or stored in the vehicle ECU. A calibration needs to be performed during installation every time a replacement product is fitted.
