Tyre Pressure Monitoring Sensor (TPMS) is a system to monitor tyre pressure inside tyres. TPMS was introduced into European mass production during a phase-in period between 2012-2014. A TPMS sensor (OE) has a designed life of about 7 years or 100,000 km (60,000 miles).

INTRODUCING BREMBO’S LIGHTWEIGHT DISC…

A new addition to the Brembo aftermarket range, applicable for the most exclusive models in the latest generation Jaguar Land Rover. Manufactured in the same plant and on the same assembly line as the OE, the disc is made up of a high carbon cast iron braking surface and a steel hat, which are connected by mechanical interference. These technical features allow for a weight reduction of up to 15% compared to its integral counterpart of the same size. Since the brake disc contributes to the unsprung mass of the vehicle, reducing the weight ensures an increase in the available force, and therefore improves handling as well as reduces consumption and emissions of the car.

For a wheel bearing to operate correctly, it not only depends on the bearing being fitted correctly, it also relies on the quality of the components used to manufacture the bearing. While supplying exceptionally high-quality components to manufacture the wheel bearings, NTN-SNR also pays particular attention to all the other components supplied in the wheel bearing kit, including components such as the screws, bolts, nuts, stop rings, caps and seals, as many of these components cannot be reused. ELECTRICS – EMS (ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS)

With the development of Electric Vehicles, EMS products will continue to play a critical role in the smooth functioning of vehicles, for example, with battery temperature management.

EMS products help control vehicle functions electronically. Failed or faulty EMS products will likely result in an MOT failure, poor fuel economy and poor performance of the engine. Any product which provides the ECU with information can be classed as EMS. Some examples of information required by the ECU are: speed, temperature, pressure and emissions.

Double-clutch credit procedure Double-clutch kits are currently blocked from credit due to the nature of the product. Each kit contains a variety of components, each of which are essential to carry out the job successfully. However, there have been some occasions where kits have been returned with components missing that cannot be replaced individually, making the kit unusable to the next customer. To get a kit unblocked you need to send the following details to the clutch product manager, details can be found on ECPedia via Product Manager: ■ Part number ■ Customer account number ■ Reason for credit ■ Clear images showing conditions.

Always check who the supplier is before ordering Cats or DPF’s. Contrary to what you may think, only around 10% of our Cats/DPF’s come from Klarius. They mainly come from BM Cats (BMC0101) or to a lesser extent European Exhausts & Catalysts, EEC (EEC0201).​ If a part is showing on Babbage as ‘Klarius Off Site’ always check the stock file on ECPedia as this is live every day and ‘Klarius Off Site’ is only updated fortnightly.

This creates a link to check where a lookup has not resulted in a sale, and reviews the Branch, RFC and NDC stock at the point of the enquiry.
