When a customer's vehicle enters your workshop for planned work or a service, test the battery as part of the course. Weather plays a huge part when batteries go bad. This summer we have seen prolonged spells of searing heat. Heat, like cold can have severe consequences on the life of a battery. The extreme warm weather weakens battery plates, limiting the amount of charge they can hold or supply on demand. This makes them less effective.
