NDITIONING

ARE YOU TELLING CUSTOMERS ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF CHANGING THEIR CABIN FILTERS REGULARLY?

If not, you should be! Health and wellbeing is at the top of everyone’s agenda right now – and quite rightly so. But thinking about the air you breathe in your vehicle might be something your customers might currently be taking for granted. This presents you with the perfect opportunity to highlight the protection a new cabin air filter can provide against pollen and bacteria for drivers and vehicle occupants. Particularly important as we start to see warmer weather and those who suffer from hayfever feel the effects of the changing seasons and pollen in the air. Common cabin filters include a particulate filter with an activated carbon layer which completely separates coarse particles like dust, pollen, and tyre debris as well as the smallest respirable particles such as particulate matter. The layer of activated carbon adsorbs harmful gases, unpleasant odours and ozone almost completely from the air flowing through the vehicle.

There are 3 different types of cabin filters that can be fitted depending on the customers requirement.

Pollen filters These protect the vehicle occupants from contaminants such as pollen and fine dust and help protect the air conditioning system. The pollen filter filters out more than just pollen - it stops all kinds of debris, pollution and odours from entering the cabin and clogging up the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems.

Active carbon filters These have the same function as pollen filter, as well as the ability to separate foul smells and harmful gases such as ozone, smog, and exhaust gases.

Anti-bacteria filters In addition to the functions of the carbon filter, these filters neutralize allergens and bacteria.
