Timing belt kits and tensioners

SKF introduced the timing belt kit concept to the automotive aftermarket over 20 years ago. As a next step they added the water pump to make the timing belt kit complete. When performing a timing belt replacement, experts recommend replacing all the parts in the system, including the water pump, to avoid individual component failure and additional maintenance costs.

Timing belts – SKF Technical knowledge • OE quality materials and treatment: withstand high temperatures and heavy loads, ensure low friction and quiet operation • HNBR rubber reinforced with integrated high tensile cords: provides extra strength, extends service life from 120,000 to over 200,000 km • PTFE coating where high pressure injection pump is driven by the timing belt: ensuring extra strength and heat resistance. • PTFE coating is used to reduce friction and minimize wear while increasing the service life • Profile tolerances: Precise tooth profile (tolerances) to have a belt that will perfectly engage • Stable valve timing: SKF has timing belts that are adapted (custom-design) to each application.
