The clutch disc and pressure plate are precision-tuned to work together and should always be replaced together. For installation, the SAC special tool is required. It allows bolting the SAC clutch on without having to apply counterforce. Using this special tool for pre-tensioning prevents twisting of the adjusting ring in the clutch pressure plate. If the special tool is not used, the pressure plate can be damaged which will cause the clutch to malfunction. The self-adjusting clutch technology is available under different names but all carry the same principle functionality: ■ LuK kits are labelled SAC (self-adjusting clutch) ■ ZF Sachs kits are labelled Xtend ■ Valeo kits are labelled SAT (self-adjusting technology).

NOx sensors measure the concentration of nitrogen oxide within the exhaust-gas flow and send current values to the engine control unit via CAN bus. What makes Bosch’s different to other brands?
