Technicians usually change timing belts when they have reached their duty cycle through time, mileage, or arduous conditions. THE SYMPTOMS OF BAD SPARK PLUGS

WHY HYBRID AND ELECTRIC?

Spark plugs should always be replaced in sets to ensure they have the same electrical resistance, but are you aware of the symptoms of a bad spark plug?

The growing popularity of electric and hybrid cars signifies an urgent need for workshops and technicians to undergo specific training before carrying out maintenance, servicing or repair work. Hybrid and electric vehicle sales growth has been outperforming traditional fuel cars over the past couple of years. This market is seeing a significant increase, pure electric cars accounted for around 7% share of new registrations in 2020 (2% in 2019), whilst hybrid accounted for around 22% (9% in 2019). Working on Hybrid and electric vehicles requires specialist tools for the job. Regular alignment checks are an essential part of a vehicle’s service maintenance schedule. Every day driving affects wheel alignment and, over time, wheels can become misaligned. Poor road conditions, potholes, kerbing a vehicle and worn suspension components will also impact on a vehicles wheel alignment. Benefits If you’re currently turning away or sending work to another garage because your garage doesn't have the right equipment to carry out the job, you should consider adding wheel alignment as a service.

Brake pads and discs are always replaced in pairs to make sure the brake system can work properly. The same approach must be used for suspension components as they can’t function correctly if replaced in singles. Additional your revenue can increase when replacing in pairs.

■ Wiper blade leaving water patches on the screen ■ Cracked, split or missing rubber from the wiper blade ■ Squeaking and juddering when wiping.
