Refrigerant Recovery The performance of the internal compressor is checked to ensure fast recovery, efficient operation and component reliability. Refrigerant Recharging Charging accuracy is re-calibrated (to +/- 25gms), using a certified calibration weight, so your customer’s air con systems are always charged correctly (for optimum system performance)

Refrigerant Recycling

Refrigerant Leakage Additional checks during the service procedure ensure there is no refrigerant leakage at any stage of the machine’s operation. Refrigerant loss to atmosphere is prosecutable under the Environmental Protection Act (1990). Quality Management Servicing of garage equipment may be required to comply with the terms of some ISO Quality Management Systems e.g. PAS125.

PUWER 1998 Provision and Use of Workshop Equipment Regulation 1998 confers a duty to ensure all equipment provided by your business is well maintained and safe to use.

The machine filter is changed to ensure the recycled refrigerant meets the applicable S.A.E. standard (J2099) System Evacuation Vacuum pump performance and operation is checked, the oil is changed to ensure the machine is able to rapidly achieve a deep vacuum to fully de-hydrate the vehicles A/C system and help prevent internal corrosion.

Five signs of machine failure

1. Inaccurate readings Has the machine been providing inconsistent readings of various vehicles that have been tested? 2. Out-of-date vehicle database With new vehicles continuously evolving, equipment becomes outdated and incompatible with the new technology – could this be yours? 3. Software glitches From data processing errors to communication failures, if the required maintenance hasn’t been followed software glitches can interfere with the test results. 4. Constant leak test failures Leak test failure can be caused by a number of faults and areas where leaks can occur, both internally and externally to the machine. 5. Slow to start up in the morning Perhaps your machine is functioning as normal but just takes a little longer to power up in the morning – this could be a clear indication that your machine is reaching end of life.
