MAIN HEADING SEALANTS & ADHESIVES A one-component polyurethane adhesive that cures on exposure to atmospheric moisture. Sikaflex®-295 UV has a paste like consistency and is suitable for interior and exterior sealing applications and to bond organic glass in the Marine sector. It can also be used to seal joints in exposed areas due to its excellent weatherability. Sikaflex®-295 UV meets the requirements set out by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Suitable substrates include aluminium (bright or anodized), stainless steel, GRP (polyester resin), timber, 2-component coatings and plastic glazing materials (PC, PMMA). This product is generally resistant to seawater, fresh water, diluted acids and diluted caustic solutions. It is temporarily resistant to fuels, mineral oils, vegetable and animal fats and oils. However, it is not resistant to organic acids, glycolic alcohol, concentrated mineral acids and caustic solutions or solvents. A multifunctional, one-component polyurethane sealant, specifically developed for the marine market. Sikaflex®-291i is a non-sag sealant suitable for making elastic, vibration-resistant joint seals and can also be used for a variety of interior sealing applications. It bonds extremely well to the mate rials commonly used in marine construction such as wood, metals, metal primers and paint coatings (2-C systems), ceramic materials and plastics (GRP, etc.). An elastic one-component polyurethane adhesive, Sikaflex®-252 is specially designed for bonding large components in vehicle assembly. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including coated metal, GRP, ceramic materials and plastics. A 300ml cartridge of one-component polyurethane based sealing compound, Sikaflex®-290 DC PRO is extremely weather resistant and formulated for caulking joints in traditional timber marine decking for boat, yacht and commercial ship constructions. It cures to form a flexible elastomer which allows a fast and easy sanding process. SIKAFLEX 290DC PRO DECK CAULKING COMPOUND A non-sag one-component polyurethane adhesive with paste-like consistency which cures on exposure to atmospheric moisture. The Sikaflex®-292i has excellent adhesive properties, good mechanical strength and meets the low spread of flame requirements set out by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). Sikaflex®-292i is suitable for structural joints in marine constructions that are subjected to high dynamic stresses.
