Victron Multiplus 24/3000/70 Combi
The MultiPlus Combo from Victron is a powerful true sine wave inverter and sophisticated battery charger featuring adaptive charge technology and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact enclosure. The unit’s unique PowerAssist feature prevents overload of a limited AC source. Firstly, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or mains hook up supply with power taken from the battery. In the event of a grid failure or shore or generator power being disconnected, the inverter is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens in less than 20 milliseconds so that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption.
Up to six Multis can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Three phase or split phase operation is also possible. NOTE: Please check Victron datasheets to see which models have paralleling, three-phase and split phase capabilities.

This unit is a protective device that acts as the hub and safety net for your Lithium system. It connects to Victron's lithium batteries and enables the entire battery bank to be protected against over/under voltage and over temperature.

It connects to the daisy-chain connectors on the batteries, and between the starter and domestic battery where an alternator is being used for charging.
It connects to the daisy-chain connectors on the batteries which enables it to monitor each cell individually. It also connects to a Victron Multiplus, Quattro, Phoenix inverter or Phoenix charger via an RJ45 data cable. It is also used to control a Cyrix Li-ct or a Cyrix Li-charge relay to disconnect the charger/load in the event of under/over-voltage and over temperature. In a deep discharge situation the VE Bus connection enables loads to be disconnected via Victrons "Battery Protect" before the battery becomes discharged so deeply that the BMS needs to disconnect it, that level can be set with a BMV.
The device's purpose is to protect the Li-ion batteries in the event of under/over-voltage and over-temperature by electronically disconnecting them when the charge voltage is too high or the battery voltage becomes too low. It limits the charge power from the alternator to prevent overheating, particularly while running on lower rpm and will also prevent the Li-ion battery discharging into the starter battery to prevent excessive discharge. It also prevents the load from taking power from the starter battery.
