WHAT IS INCLUDED IN A SERVICE? ■ Oil level and performance of internal compressor fully checked ■ Machine filters changed, if required ■ Vacuum Pump performance and operation is checked, oil changed if due (additional costs apply if oil and/or filters are required) ■ Charging accuracy is checked with calibration of tank scales to allowable tolerances using certified weights ■ Oil and dye scales calibrated to correct tolerances, If applicable ■ Refrigerant leakage checks to ensure there is no leakage at any stage of the machine’s operation ■ Software updates to ensure the machine is using the latest version ■ Machine checked and ensured it complies with all required certifications and regulations

INCLUDED IN WARRANTY:

■ All call out charges ■ All engineer labour rate charges ■ All mileage charges ■ All internal components of the machine (Machine, Vac Pump, Motherboard etc.)

PACKAGE DETAILS: ■ Warranty begins from date of purchase of the machine and runs for three or five year (dependent on package purchased) ■ The price includes two or four annual services (dependent on package purchased) to be completed at or around each 12-month anniversary from date of purchase of the air conditioning machine ■ Service includes calibration of all scales, software updates, diagnostic checks – including leak checks and performance testing of individual parts ■ Calibration certificates are available upon request to meet with any audit requirements ■ Parts used on a service are invoiced at the time of service

EXCLUDED FROMWARRANTY/PACKAGE: ■ All wear and tear items (essentially external parts such as covers, wheels, hoses, couplers etc.) ■ Fair usage policy – if any evidence suggests a machine is damaged because of neglect or misuse then this will not be covered ■ Any service parts – filters / oils ■ Operator training and F-gas assessments ■ Any call outs in relation to operator errors will be chargeable (i.e. they have been selecting a wrong option) ■ Any additional servicing required before the annual due date due to heavy use will be subject to a further normal charge for service

When a vehicle arrives at your workshop for an Aircon service, how can you be guaranteed that the correct refrigerant is in use in the vehicle system. You should try to determine if you might be about to work on a contaminated system which could in turn lead to problems for you. Ask the customer questions about work that may have previously been done, and especially, what may have

previously been charged into the system, if they are aware. Always try to find out as much as you possibly can about any vehicle on which you intend to perform Aircon service, and also about any refrigerant that you intend to purchase. To be as safe as possible, you should use a refrigerant identifier on every system you’re going to work on, and on every tank of refrigerant that you buy.

Several microorganisms such as germs, bacteria, viruses, fungi, spores and other pathogens nestle inside the whole car cabin and the ventilation system. In addition, the concentration of floating dust or particulate matter constantly moving due to air circulation, completes a potential pollution of the passenger compartment. In the current environment there is more than ever a focus on sanitation and ensuring that every effort is being made to minimise the risk of cross contamination between users of equipment and tools. This includes the vehicle cabin, usually a closed area and a breeding ground for various microbes, bacteria, and viruses and in some circumstances an area that has

various people in and out of as we carry passengers from one location to another, and dependent on the time of year can have a mixture of moisture / warm air and cool air circulating. In the past most garages would have been aware of pollen and air filters and either replacements or treatments to help remove any build-up of the bacteria. Now more than ever carrying out these types of jobs can either add bonus points to the service you are providing, bring in additional revenue streams and also help your staff and customers stay safe. There are several options to choose from.

The protection of the driver and vehicle occupants against pollen and bacteria requires the use of effective cabin air filters. This is because during the pollen season there are roughly 3,000 types of pollen in just one milliliter of air. It sounds like a huge task for the filter. And that is just what it is. MANN+HUMMEL has developed an efficient solution to tackle the problem. This is a cabin filter which adsorbs allergens in addition to small and coarse particles. The filter also prevents bacteria and mold fungi from entering the passenger compartment through the ventilation or air conditioning system.

HOW DOES THAT WORK? THROUGH THE USE OF A VERY SPECIAL FILTER LAYER.

Common cabin filters include a particulate filter and frequently also an activated carbon layer. This is also true for the cabin filters from MANN+HUMMEL. The particulate filter layer almost completely separates coarse particles such as dust, pollen and tire debris as well as the smallest, respirable particles such as particulate matter. The layer of activated carbon adsorbs harmful gases, unpleasant odors and ozone almost completely from the air flowing through the system. But these cabin filters also have a third layer with a special biofunctional coating containing polyphenols. Polyphenols are natural products with an anti-inflammatory effect and are perceived to promote good health. They are present in plants such as green tea and pomegranates and many others and have the ability to adsorb allergens and make them harmless.
