In 1964, SHW and Porsche came together to develop the first internal ventilated brake disc, appearing as early as 1966 on the 911S. Pagid supplies a wide range of high quality brake shoes to fit all major car and light commercial vehicle manufacturers. All Pagid brake shoes conform to the Regulation 90 European Legislation, ensure safe vehicle braking and enhanced stopping power.

A caliper is part of the essential makeup when creating an effective disc-brake system on vehicles, providing secure housing of the all-important brake pads and pistons. Each brake caliper by Pagid has been designed specifically within the original manufacturer guidelines, making sure your customers experience excellent braking performance each time they use their brakes. New to the Pagid braking range are caliper brackets. Bent or damaged caliper brackets are a potential cause of fitment issues on brake pads along with brake noise and binding, inspecting and replacing damaged brackets is essential to maintain braking performance. Cables and Hoses

To go alongside the extensive range of brake pads, calipers, disc and other braking parts, Pagid also offers matching brake cables, gear change cables, clutch cables and brake hoses. Fitting Kits and Screws

Pagid supplies Brake Pad, Brake Shoe, Handbrake Shoe and Caliper Slider fitting kits, which are ideal for fitting Pagid brake parts to customer cars to a high standard, but also work with other brands too.

Fitting kits lose 50% of their tensile strength (springiness) after 2 years, and a contributing factor to noise, so should be changed every time when changing the pads.

ABS Sensors, Valves and Clutches

Brake Fluid, Cleaner and Cera Tec At Pagid, we understand the importance of premium quality brake fluid and the effects it has on stopping performance. Transferring force into pressure, and thus amplifying braking force, is a key function of brake fluid, which makes it vitally important to vehicle occupant safety. Available in DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 configurations and various container sizes.

Like engine oil, brake fluid is also vehicle specific, putting the wrong fluid into the system can have damaging effects. This can lead to problems with the braking system, ultimately it could cause an accident on the road. The importance of offering the correct brake fluid Most workshops will think that by using DOT 4 they are covered; this couldn’t be further than the truth. DOT 4 LV fluid in newer vehicles Most new cars produced from 2016 onwards have ESP systems. ESP stands for electronic stability program, and it is mandatory requirement in many markets globally.

ESP Systems:

ABS systems control the brakes in the event of a loss of traction during heavy braking, so the driver can still steer the vehicle.

Traction control acts to regulate the power of the engine to the wheels to prevent a loss of traction on low traction surfaces.

When the two systems are integrated, it is normally referred to as an ESP system.

Why is DOT 4 LV Important? The system must be able to react extremely quickly to be effective and be able to operate at temperatures as low as -40°C. This puts unique demands on the brake fluid, which is the only means that braking force can be transferred around the brake system. A fast system reaction time is only possible with a low viscosity, low compressibility brake fluid, particularly at low temperatures.

The use of a standard DOT 4 brake fluid will impair system performance at lower ambient temperatures as the viscosity is typically much higher.

DOT 4 LV is the 1st choice for the Aftermarket as it covers the majority of the mainstream European car parc OEM standards.
