Essential Electrics – DRTS – 2 Day This is the 1st course of the diagnostic road to success, on this course you will enhance your electrical knowledge, control methods and introduction into high voltage systems. Multimeter and Oscilloscopes – DRTS – 1 Day This is course number 2 of the programme and covers the fundamental skills of using a multimeter and an Oscilloscope to ensure diagnostic accuracy. The course will take you from the basic concept through testing circuits leading to sensors and actuators and multiplex networks and fault finding Chassis Control Systems – DRTS – 1 Day This is course 3 in the programme, with the focus shifting to the chassis systems and its affiliated operating systems, including ABS, Traction Control, Different steering systems and the modern suspension set up. We begin to understanding the maintenance responsibility’s and affected repairs. We then move onto understanding of diagnosis and first time fix with these various systems. Steering Geometry and 4 Wheel Alignment – DRTS – 1 Day This is course 4 in the programme, this time we deep dive into the importance of correct vehicle alignment. Diesel Engine Management Systems – 2 Day This is course 7 of the diagnostic programme, diesel engines and their systems cause workshops the most issues with over 35% of calls that come into our technical helpline being diesel related. On this course you will cover and learn new skills in low and high-pressure systems, injectors, induction and fault finding leading nicely into emission control .This is a must have course of any technician Diesel Systems Emission Control – DRTS – 2 Day This is course number 8 and follows on from the diesel engine management course 8. Workshops are seeing more and more diagnostic issues around Add Blue, NOx and blocked DPFs which is reducing productivity and 1st time fixes. This course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge required to work on these systems and repair the faults. Petrol Engine Management Systems – DRTS – 2 Day This is course number 9 and covers petrol and direct injection systems and moves through to ignition, induction and emission systems. With the decline in diesel and increase of petrol vehicles on the UK roads knowledge in these areas will serve any technician well for years to come Communication Networks – Can Bus – 1 Day This is course number 10 on the programme. This course is vital to any diagnostic technician due to the increasing number of ECU’s in a modern vehicle. This course will give you a strong understanding on networking and topology looking at CAN resistance and voltage. Smart Charging and Stop Start – DRTS – 1 Day This is course number 11 on the programme. Battery testing and replacement is a massive growth area in any modern workshop with 40% of all breakdowns being battery related. Advanced Driver Assistance Programmes (ADAS)

There are approximately 4.5 million Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) enabled vehicles in the UK, according to Thatcham Research.

Calibration is required whenever a sensor’s aim is disturbed in any way. This can occur because of collision or in a bodyshop due to a windshield replacement, suspension repair or wheel alignment. All repairers should follow the UK Insurance Industry Requirements (IIR) for the safe repair of ADAS equipped vehicles. Course description: This is a 1 day course that covers the training and accreditation to be a qualified ADAS technician. As of 2016, new vehicles require a minimum of two ADAS systems fitted to qualify for a 5-Star NCAP Safety Rating. This course covers operation and calibration using a CSC-Tool, a comprehensive multi-brand bodyshop tool for calibrating camera and radar-based Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS).

MOT Tester IMI Level 2 263771650 Classes 4 and 7 This qualification is for individuals who want, or need to become MOT testers. More venues than any other provider Find a course local to you. Become a MOT Tester

To be eligible to undertake this qualification in order to be an MOT Tester, a learner must: • Have a current and full UK driving licence for the vehicle classes they want to test • Be a skilled mechanic with at least 4 years full-time employment in the service and repair of the vehicle types to be tested (apprentices who have been employed for 4 years are eligible) • Have no unspent convictions for criminal offences connected with the MOT testing scheme, the motor trade, or involving acts of violence / intimidation • To become a nominated tester (NT) for class 3, 4, 5 or 7 vehicles candidates must also have an ‘appropriate’ qualification. Why do I need my MOT CPD? This is compulsory training in order to retain your MOT tester status.

Over 1,000 MOT testers are disqualified from testing, by the DVSA every year for not completing their CPD on time.. This means they are unable to conduct any MOT testing until they have completed the outstanding CPD and been re-observed off by the DVSA, which can take months.

This year the annual CPD requires 3 hours of learning and the normal exam with a required pass mark of 80%
