ANTI-SIPHON DEVICES

An anti-siphon unit is an extremely important part of a plumbing system. Their use is recommended in installations such as ‘below waterline’ applications of engines with wet exhausts, toilet systems and pumping systems to name but a few. It will allow the water to flow only one way in the intended direction. Should the flow reverse then the vacuum will operate the anti-siphon valve allowing air to enter the line, and thus breaking the siphoning effect. We offer various types of anti-siphon units, and each must be fitted correctly to ensure proper and effective operation.

NON METALLIC ANTI-SIPHON DEVICE

• The loop shaped fitting prevents water from running back down the exhaust line towards the engine in a wet exhaust system whilst allowing it to flow in the desired direction • Often when the engine is turned off and water is left in the exhaust line a siphoning effect can cause water to rush back towards the engine, this loop prevents that from happening • Features 2 mounting holes for wall mounting
