ACCUMULATOR / EXPANSION TANKS These Hotpot tanks can be used as either accumulators (cold water) or expansion tanks (hot water). As an accumulator, they will assist in the smooth flow of water, designed to compensate for unequal flows and avoid unnecessary pump operation. As an expansion tank, they compensate for the expansion as the water in the Hotpot calorifier tank is heated. Their use is especially recommended for multi-outlet applications and if the vessel has a shower installed.
