SOLID HALF COUPLINGS These are usually held on to the boat propeller shaft with a suitable roll pin or grub screw and can be machined to take a keyway. All have been pilot bored.

SPLIT CLAMP ON COUPLINGS The shaft end of the coupling slides over the boat propeller shaft and is then clamped into position by the clamp bolts. BOBBIN COUPLINGS These are double flanged couplings, used to space out the propeller shaft, or can be used with two R & D flexible couplings to double insulate noise and vibration. A bobbin with two R & D flexible couplings can provide excellent noise and vibration control, at a very reasonable price.
